At RioGAFA we believe that all students deserve rigorous academics and an arts education. Families and students should not have to choose one over the other.
Our students will be learning their academic content standards through the arts.
Research supports that teachers have the greatest impact on student success. RioGAFA is committed to investing in our teachers through ensuring collaboration, coaching, and professional development to ensure student succeed.
At RioGAFA we believe that all students deserve to have access to an arts education. We want our students to have access to culinary arts, dance, film and media, music, theater and visual arts.
NM is culturally rich and diverse and the arts connect us to our cultural heritage. Through our teaching artists students will learn from local artist that look like them and sound like them, but also like their peers. It is an opportunity for students to build community and deeper understand of themselves and others.
We are committed to creating strong relationships within the community and with local artists. We envision becoming an arts hub on Albuquerque's Westside.
* Other teaching opportunities available - one day demonstrations, one time lesson
