TEACHING ARTISTS

ARTS & CULTURE ARE IMPORTANT

At RioGAFA we believe that all students deserve to have access to an arts education. We want our students to have access to culinary arts, dance, film and media, music, theater and visual arts.


NM is culturally rich and diverse and the arts connect us to our cultural heritage. Through our teaching artists students will learn from local artist that look like them and sound like them, but also like their peers. It is an opportunity for students to build community and deeper understand of  themselves and others.

ARTISTS NEEDED:

  • Culinary 
  • Dance (all forms)
  • Film and Media 
  • Gardening
  • Music (early childhood music, vocal, instrumental, song writing)
  • Poetry 
  • Theater 
  • Visual Arts (all forms)

SCHEDULE/COMPENSATION:

  • Artistry Block: 2:25PM - 3:25PM
  • Work Days: Monday-Friday (some flexibility and choice of days dependent on number of artists working each quarter)
  • Part-Time: 1-5 hours a week (depended on number of artists working each quarter)
  • Salary: $20-$40 per hour (dependent on experience) 


*   Other teaching opportunities available - one day demonstrations, one time lesson

** Volunteers ALWAYS welcome.
