With this in mind, we are committed to a mission to educate students through an arts-integration curriculum that promotes problem solving and creativity and supports all K-12 students to achieve grade-level standards. RioGAFA is committed to ensuring all students, no matter their race, economic status, gender, or learning ability, have access to realizing their future dreams of college and/or a career.  

We commit to being a diverse, equitable, and inclusive organization to achieve our mission. We honor and celebrate the many voices, values, and beliefs of all our students, staff, families, and community members. Our commitment is essential to students’ academic, artistic, social, and collective growth and to achieving equity and social justice across our school and community.  

To realize this vision, the RioGAFA team provides students with different art forms that stem from various cultures. By delivering extensive cultural responsiveness and intentionally diverse instruction, students learn to gain a deeper connection and a sense of pride in their culture and traditions. By providing students and staff with opportunities, they learn to be accepting and open to the traditions and methods of other cultures different than their own, which will develop within the students of RioGAFA a sense of appreciation and acceptance for a multitude of different voices, values, and beliefs. We recognize and are committed to the continuous learning necessary to be an organization that strengthens diversity, uplifts equity, and honors inclusion.
